Positive Behaviour Support – Month 1 (Interim Plan) - Up to $5,059.80 (20 hours of Specialist Positive Behaviour Support) NOTE THAT THIS IS BILLED HOURLY AND IS ONLY A GUIDE. Positive Behaviour Support – Month 1 (Interim Plan) is designed to provide families with intensive, evidence-informed support during the first month of their Positive Behaviour Support journey. Delivered entirely through secure telehealth, this package combines specialist assessment, practical education, individual coaching and ongoing guidance to help families better understand their child's behaviour and begin implementing positive, proactive strategies immediately. The first month focuses on understanding the whole person, not simply the behaviour. We work alongside families to identify strengths, unmet needs, communication differences, environmental factors and the underlying reasons behaviours may be occurring. Through a comprehensive Functional Behaviour Assessment, we gather information from multiple sources, review existing reports where available, analyse behavioural patterns and develop clear hypotheses about the function of behaviour. This information forms the foundation of an evidence-informed Interim Behaviour Support Plan that provides practical strategies for immediate implementation while longer-term assessment continues. Throughout the month, families participate in individual telehealth appointments with their Behaviour Support Practitioner, receiving step-by-step coaching and guidance tailored to their child's unique needs. Sessions focus on building parents' understanding of Positive Behaviour Support, behaviour as communication, emotional regulation, sensory processing, co-regulation and practical strategies that can be used confidently within everyday routines. Ongoing email support is available between appointments to answer questions, provide reassurance and assist families as they begin implementing new approaches.
